This feedback is supplied after the taught course, but before starting the project work.
The trainer was personable, helpful, and was a good teacher. Course would have been of more value if the trainer had been given a better brief of what the CCG does before the training started, or had more experience working with the NHS. This would have helped in creating relevant examples of applying taught principles to CCG activity. Could have described the basic stats (e.g. variance) more clearly; some members of the group struggled to understand the basics and so were left behind with the later stats tools. An additional short break (e.g. 5 mins) may have helped stave off the fatigue that did affect some peoples ability to follow the course towards the end of the day (especially on ‘stats days’).
